Habitat for Humanity Ethiopia (HFHE) is a branch of Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI). HEHE is currently operating under Africa Habitat for Humanity International. Since it started operation in 1993, Habitat for Humanity Ethiopia has supported 170,000 families (850,000 people). HFHE initially began with constructing mortgage houses for families affected by poverty and other vulnerabilities and has been expanding the work to integrate vulnerable group housing, urban slum upgrading, urban resilience building, water sanitation and hygiene.

Fundraising Specialist

The Fundraising Specialist supports all aspects of the fundraising including prospecting and acquiring potential donors and philanthropies locally as well as internationally through supporting fundraiser GFOI, Resource Development (RD) and GFN countries that includes multiple income streams – such as foundations, governments, corporate, High Net Worth Individuals (HNWI), etc. and facilitate existing relationships. The position holder will work closely with Partnership Development and Resource Mobilization Manager to draw effective strategies for fund raising with existing as well as newly established partnership structure. The position holder will be responsible for ensuring that HFHE identify, engage, and influence key shelter and WASH stakeholders in Ethiopia.
